Born in Tokyo in 1939, Minoru Kanetsuka (picture), began studying Aikido in 1957 while a student at Takushoku University (Tokyo).
In 1978, he became the Technical Director of the British Aikido Federation ; as such he is the official representative in the United Kingdom of the Aikikai (the World Aikido Headquarters, Tokyo).
He teaches regularly at the Ryushinkan Dojo in London. He also is the Technical Director of the federations of Nederlands, Norway, Greece and South-Africa.
In France, Minoru Kanetsuka has aroused a great number of aikidokas' affiliation because of the compromissions of our national federations. Thanks to the great value of his teachings and his devotion to the cause of aikido, the french aikidokas can learn essential Aikido in the spirit of Budo.
